Finally, A Local You Can Blame

I had read this earlier, but have now confirmed it. Police Chief Arthur Lawson of Gretna, MS had his police department block the only escape route from New Orleans. They fired warning shots over the heads of anyone who tried to escape. Lawson had this to say in a recent UPI interview:

"If we had opened the bridge, our city would have looked like New Orleans does now: looted, burned and pillaged."

Lawson should be named in every wrongful death lawsuits filed in the aftermath of Katrina.
