David Drier's image has taken a beating since Dennis Hastert tapped him as temporary Majority Leader of the House. Drier, who allegedly is gay, was stopped in his ascension to leader by unknown forces within the republican party. Last night he appeared on The Charley Rose Show. I can only describe his appearance as a comical attempt to "butch it up". The perennial best dressed member of the House wore an awful suit, the knot on his tie was squared way left of center, and his hair was ruffled.
I only caught the end of the show so I'm not sure what the discussion was about.
