Ray Nagin is sending his first responders on vacation. You have got to be kidding me. This is the dumbest thing I've heard in a long time. He even tried to get FEMA to foot the the bill. FEMA smartly refused. Instead, the city will pick up all costs for the five day vacations mostly to Las Vegas or Atlanta. He is sending them in two shifts. What happens if the first shift doesn't return?
I know their morale must be low, but come on, suck it up.
