Ever heard of the Plum Book? Probably not unless you are a career political hack, large donor, or say, a guy who so sorely lacks in charisma that you lose your Senate bid to a dead guy. The Plum Book is an actual purple book that list over 3,000 positions appointed by the president of the United States and another 5,000 jobs appointed by these appointees.
Most of these positions are do nothing jobs used to pay off campaign workers for their help in winning the presidency; however, some of these jobs are quite crucial for our government to work. That is the problem that George Bush doesn't get. There are a shitload of Mike Brown's still out there and we need a purge. Bush even continues to nominate know nothing hacks for these critical positions. Pathetic.
