What Kind Of Dumbasses Watch Fox News?

The answer to that question can be found in this LA Times (sub req) article about a La Habra, CA family that had their address given out on Fox News as the address of a terrorist. Dumbass Fox reporter John Loftus gave Randy and Ronnell Voricks address out on the air because he thought a terrorist lived there. The man in question moved out three years ago. What does Loftus have to say about the incident? From the Times:

Loftus also apologized and told The Times last week that "mistakes happen."

"I'm terribly sorry about that. I had no idea. That was the best information we had at the time," he said.

Loftus said he gave out the address to help local police, and insisted that [Iyad] Hilal, a Garden Grove grocery store owner, was a terrorist.

"I thought it might help police in that area now that we have positively identified a terrorist living in [Orange County]," he said.

Perhaps calling the police would have been the way to go, John. It's good to know Loftus doesn't bother to fact check anything. It's also good to know that Fox News didn't reprimand Loftus for giving out an address live on the air, but for making a mistake with the address. Stupid fucks.

What did the Voricks get for their trouble? An astute Fox News viewer spray painted "Terrist" on the side of their house. If you watch Fox News and can't spell terrorist as often as it scrolls across the screen, you are truly a dumbass. I guess we know the answer now to the Bush question "Is our children learning?" Not if they watch Fox.
