Sherrod Brown

Cocktease extraordinaire Sherrod Brown will not run for the Ohio Senate seat soon to be vacated by Mike Dewine. Sherrod could have won this race in his sleep. I guess he doesn't want to be Senator.

What gets me though is not the fact that he repeatedly passes on races he could win, but that he continually hints that he will run cutting other candidates off at the knees. What a fuckwit. He needs to learn the advise I gave a friend of mine thinking about a judicial run. Don't stick your toe in the water if you don't expect to get your fucking hair wet.

Brown also said he will join the leadership of Ted Strickland's gubernatorial campaign. This is a definite non plus for the Coleman campaign as it signals that DC establishment Dems are moving in line behind Strickland. With the Ohio Dems in DC, so goes Sherrod, so goes the Congressional delegation.

This will seriously hamper Coleman in two ways. First, it will definitely hamper his fund raising ability. Secondly, with the field clear now, Tim Ryan will probably run for Dewine's seat. Having Ryan in that race will help Strickland as well. Coleman is now running an uphill race as the outside candidate.
