The State Board of Education of Kansas has adopted a policy that will allow the teaching of intelligent design in science classes. The board will make a final vote in the next couple of months, but it is a done deal. Nothing like turning the clock back to the days when Kansas was a dirthole.
Board member, and ID proponent Kathy Martin had this to say, "I'm ecstatic, this paves the way for us to turn out generation after generation of students with barely enough knowledge to cash their federal farm subsidy checks."
Kansas Senator Sam Brownshirt, I mean Brownback chimed in as well, "This effectively ends the stem cell debate in Kansas. We aren't going to be turning out anybody even remotely smart enough to participate in that kind of research."
In other Board news, math will now be taught with Roman Numerals, and all composition courses will be taught in hieroglyphics.
