Joe in DC notes at Americablog that George Allen and George Bush both compared Iraq to the Normandy Invasion recently. Allen said on NBC News Sunday, "It's somewhat akin to the Normandy Invasion in World War II."
The battle of Normandy killed 53,000+ Allied soldiers. Better find another meme, ASAP. I hope they're wrong.
