In response to a question posed by David Kurtz over at Talking Points Memo, I don't think anyone replaces John Bolton as ambassador to the UN. I think Bolton will receive another recess appointment, as will Robert Gates and that whole slate of radical judges recently nominated by President Bush.
In fact, I really don't believe a single nominee for any post will go through the confirmation process for the duration of this administration. I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but that is the way I see it.
