Bankers For Biden

Joe Biden has announced that he is running for the Democratic nomination for the Presidency of the United States. The only question I have, outside of his own mind, who does Biden think his wing of the Democratic Party is?

The environmentalist will surely line up behind Al Gore if he chooses to run. John Edwards has labor firmly in his back pocket. Hillary has Hillary's people. A lot of people will line up behind Barack Obama. Hell, even John Kerry, Tom Vilsack, and Wes Clark have their own followings. But Joe Biden, I just don't see it.

Obviously, Biden is counting on the "serious on national security voters" to carry the day for him. Unfortunately, since the Iraq war is still going to be going on during the 2008 campaign, any remaining Democratic "serious on national security voters" are likely to be "get us the fuck out of there now voters."

Oh well, he'll always have the bankers.
