Strickland Stumbles Out Of The Gate
Ted Strickland officially announced his candidacy for governor yesterday in an odd conference call from Columbus, OH. He spent most of the rest of the clarifying the statements he made. Strickland claimed to have the support of Hillary Clinton and Howard Dean. He later backed off those remarks saying he "misspoke." He also said Clinton "will come to Ohio and campaign for me," then backed off those remarks as well. Both Clinton and Dean have issued statements of neutrality.
