Well, we lost the battle over Samuel Alito's nomination to the Supreme Court. He'll be the 110th Supreme Court Justice. It should be noted that he is not the swing vote on Roe v Wade. That distinction still belongs to Justice Anthony Kennedy, and I would expect that most challenges to aspects of Roe will settled 5-4 on the side of Roe.
While Alito's confirmation leaves us with no future wiggle room, and is a blow to women's rights, we still haven't lost the war.
